POLICE BUILDING
(2003)
A new two-story Police building was designed for
the Flint Township Police Department. Two major challenges
were presented to the design team. One was, of course,
limited funds for the project needs, and the other,
a difficult site to develop.
The densely wooded site was a challenge. It was irregular
shaped, bordered by railroad tracks on the rear, bisected
by an open drain and has a 30 ft. rise from the road
to the rear of the site. The west portion is planned
for a park development which will initially share
the Police public parking lot.
