CIVIC CENTER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (1993)

A two story addition at the plaza and alterations to the existing offices. The new addition enhanced the entry to the complex and matched the existing building materials and colors. In order to avoid expensive underpinning of the existing foundations the new portion was held three foot away from the existing. The gap was closed at the roof by a sloping skylight which introducues light deep into the building interior and creates interesting unique spaces at corridors and conference rooms.
